Semi-Tubular Rivets
(126) Semi-tubular rivets help assemble a wide variety of materials and are one of the most common forms of rivets used. Semi-tubular rivets can be employed for multiple applications, such as luggage, brakes, and 3 ring binders. Semi-tubular rivets are defined as having a hole-depth less than 112% of the mean body diameter. Semi-tubular rivets require a pre-drilled hole. Minimum order quantity is 25,000 pieces.Full-Tubular Rivets
(14) Full-tubular rivets contain a deep drilled part that possesses a hole-depth equal or greater than 112% of the mean body diameter. Full-tubular rivets are used to punch their own hole in softer materials, such as fabric, leather, canvas, and chipboard. These full-tubular rivets have the ability to be inserted and clinched in one operation. Minimum order quantity is 25,000 pieces.Self-Piercing Rivets
(5) Our self-piercing rivets are remarkably strong and can be used to fasten both similar or dissimilar materials, such as aluminum, stainless steel, and steel - as well as a number of plastics and fibers. In addition, a self-piercing rivet can also be used to connect two or more material layers, and, therefore, can easily join together painted or coated parts. Self-piercing rivets are designed to pierce sheet metal or aluminum without pre-punching holes. Please contact sales engineering at sales@chicagorivet.com for a specific evaluation of your application. Minimum order quantity is 25,000 pieces.- Materials include: carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

Compression or Cutlery Rivets
(64) The image on the left shows a deep drilled rivet as well as a solid rivet with a chamfered shank. Designed to fit precisely into counter bored holes and provide a finished appearance on both sides of the cutlery handle. Minimum order quantity is 25,000 pieces of each rivet.- Please note: This style of rivet is designed for cutlery assembly as noted. Use of this type of rivet is not recommended for applications other than as described.

Split Rivets
(21) Split rivets contain a cone-shaped head and two tinelike legs. Our split rivets pierce soft materials, such as wood, light metals, leather and fibers. Possessing prong ends designed to roll back into the material, our split rivets provide a strong, smooth clinch. Minimum quantities start at 50,000 pieces.Tapped Rivets
(27) A variation of tubular rivets with a shank drilled and tapped to receive a threaded fastener. Used in materials too thin to accept their own tapping. Chicago Rivet makes tapped rivets with both through holes and blind holes. In addition, we manufacture tapped rivets with weld tip projections that permit the part to be resistance welded to an assembly. This is a partial listing of our custom part capabilities.
